iTouch organises its product and service
offerings into six
complementary product verticals, specifically, Music, Infotainment,
Community, Visual, Messaging and Gaming. Products are developed
internally leveraging iTouch’s innovative technical resources.
Music
The
iTouch music product
vertical includes ringtones in a wide variety of formats including
real tones, full track downloads, ringback tones, video
tones and mobile karaoke. All of the above products allow mobile users
to add a high
level of personalisation to their mobile phone and increasingly use
their
device as a portable digital music player capable of purchasing music
wirelessly. iTouch licenses music from the rights holders through local
and
global agreements and optimises this content to make it suitable for
mobile
devices. iTouch has developed an offering called MusicShop which is a
turnkey solution supplied to carriers to facilitate a full
portfolio of mobile music downloads. Unified web, WAP and iMode
interfaces are provided
to the carriers' customers with each user presented with customised
content
uniquely generated based on their historic browsing patterns and
purchases. MusicShop
also includes a content management system which integrates content from
other
third party providers and the solution facilitates simultaneous
delivery
of purchases to both the mobile phone and the PC.
Infotainment
iTouch’s infotainment products are fun and simple text-based
products where content is developed in-house by iTouch’s teams
of local content editors. Real-time information products include a wide
portfolio of alerts such as news, sports scores and lottery results. Entertainment and novelty products include poems,
horoscopes and love calculators and mobile
directory services allow mobile users to search for phone numbers and addresses
of both individuals and businesses. These products have been marketed with great success and are extremely popular with users. Over time, these products have
evolved to take advantage of the increasingly media-rich capabilities of mobile
phones.
Community
iTouch has developed a range of mobile products that create and
sustain various communities of mobile users and are primarily offered
through iTouch's web portals. These products exploit the unique
potential of
communications for real-time, interactive messaging between peers
through forums, chat rooms and discussion groups. Blog sites where
users can publish their own
content, mobile enabled dating and peer to peer chat and instant
messaging using SMS and mobile internet based platforms are all
provided. The services uniquely combine web, WAP, SMS, java and MMS
technologies to add rich functionality to the messaging experience such
as
friend finders, flirting and the ability to create personal profiles.
Community
products provide iTouch with significant repeat customer activity.
Visual
iTouch
offers an extensive portfolio of products and services that take advantage of
the increasingly sophisticated graphic capabilities of mobile phones,
including 3G “mobisodes” which are one-minute TV dramas created specifically
for mobile phones, dynamic wallpapers where users can choose from a
catalogue of template images and add their name or text to create a unique,
customised wallpaper, video solutions for TV stations that allow them
to stream to 3G handsets highlight clips of programs such as Big Brother and Pop
Idol and MMS greetings where users can create and send
personalised MMS greeting cards to friends and relatives. As 3G handsets become increasingly commonplace, iTouch expects
demand for richer graphic and video content, such as mobisodes and reality TV
show video clips, to increase proportionately. iTouch believes it has a major
opportunity to provide media owners with a service delivery platform for such
products through having an established technology asset and the ability to
present diverse content and services to the user through a single unified
interface.
Messaging
iTouch provides carriers, broadcasters and enterprises with messaging
solutions, including applications that allow users to send SMS text
messages directly from their email clients, a web based interface or
desktop
application. Solutions that allow broadcasters to deliver
text-to-TV products or run SMS based interactive TV programming
incorporating
voting, polling, quizzes and competitions and lowest unique auction
solutions where users can
bid for prizes are also provided by iTouch. iTouch believes that its
portfolio of messaging solutions has
tremendous potential as increasing numbers of broadcasters on a global
basis
continue to look for ways of monetising broadcast content through
innovative,
interactive services.
Gaming
iTouch
has distribution agreements with many of the world’s leading Java
game
developers and has built a portfolio of over 1,500 games that are on
sale
across its geographic territories. iTouch has also introduced a unique
Game Shop product for carriers which provides them with a unique 3G web
and WAP
storefront to
facilitate the sale of mobile games. The
solution is turnkey and is able to seamlessly integrate into a
carrier’s
existing web and WAP portal offerings. Advanced CRM functionality
presents the user
with suggested content items, personalised category lists, etc based on
their historic browsing and purchasing patterns.
