Movilisto Group
The Movilisto Group is based in Madrid and comprises of operations in
Spain, France, Portugal, Romania, Mexico and Brazil. Movilisto, previously a
privately owned company with an 18 month history, was acquired in 2003
as the Spanish market leader in direct-to-consumer activities, a
position it maintains to this day. The management team emanated
from Telecinco, one of the largest TV channels in Spain and was
supplemented by strong marketing, technical and financial resources.
This team has been responsible for aggressively scaling the B2C
model into Portugal, France, Morocco, Romania, Mexico and is also scheduled
to launch the B2C model into Brazil. In addition to
the B2C focus, Movilisto also has a strong business to business
capability built on its experience in offering mobile services to
Antena3 and Telecinco.
iTouch South Africa
iTouch South Africa commenced operations in 1995 with an exclusive
mobile service agreement with Vodacom, the leading carrier and
affiliate of the international Vodafone Group. Based in Cape
Town, this company comprises operations in South Africa and Nigeria,
with significant potential for further growth into other developing
African centres (Ghana, Egypt, East Africa). Similar to the
Movilisto Group, iTouch South Africa operates both a B2C model with its
brand 35050 and B2B solutions in the form of bulk-sms facilities to
over 520 South African corporations, including banks and major retail
chains.
sms.at
sms.at was founded in Austria in 1999 as a mobile entertainment web
portal generating revenues through several mechanisms including
downloads, bulk purchasing of SMS messages sent from the portal,
advertising revenues, chat, business SMS services and commissions from
the sale of airtime recharge cards. Acquired by iTouch in September
2005, sms.at has been instrumental in launching similar services into
Switzerland and Germany and is in the process of preparing for launches
into the subscriber-bases currently existing within other iTouch
territories.
iTouch Australia
iTouch Australia was established in 2000 following Independent News and
Media Taking a shareholding in the iTouch Group in 1999 prior to
its listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2000. The company secured
contracts for the provision of solutions with the carriers Optus and
Telstra in early 2001 and handset manufacturer Motorola in 2003. More
recently, in 2006 iTouch Australia secured a contract with handset
manufacturer Sagem for the provision of a range of mobile value added
services.
Mobivillage
Following the 100% acquisition of the iTouch Group by Jasdaq listed
For-Side.com in 2005, For-Side’s other European operations were
subsequently rolled into the iTouch Group, including Mobivillage which
is headquartered in France and was founded in 2000. The company
has a long standing relationship with two of the top tier carriers in
France, specifically Orange and SFR which it secured long term
agreements with in 2002 and 2003 respectively. In 2006
Mobivillage secured a contract with Vodafone Czech Republic and Fnac
Mobile for the provision of full track music download solutions.
Mobivillage was initially acquired by For-side.com in 2004.
Akumiitti
Akumiitti was also rolled into the iTouch Group following the
acquisition of iTouch by For-side.com. The company is headquartered in
Finland and was founded in 1993 and acquired by For-Side.com in 2004.
In 2003 the company secured the client Orange UK followed by Meteor
Ireland in 2004. In 2006, Akumiitti commenced providing a pan
European mobile portal solution for handset manufacturer BenQ and
mobile search solutions for search and directory company Fonecta
Finland.
Ostrich Media
Ostrich Media pioneered Call TV in the UK by completing the first test
of the format in late 2004 on the Entertainment Channel E4. In
May 2005, Ostrich Media was formally established and commenced
broadcasting the interactive Call TV show, Quiz Call. Up until October
2006, it was a wholly owned subsidiary of 4Ventures Limited, which is
itself a subsidiary of the public-service commercial broadcaster
Channel 4 Television Corporation. The company was subsequently
purchased by iTouch where it has successfully expanded Ostrich
Media’s operations into Spain and recently signed a deal to enter
China in April 2007. To date, over £5m in prize money has been
given away to over 20,000 winners and the company retains the record
for the biggest Call TV jackpot in history of £1m.
iTouch UK and Ireland
iTouch’s UK and Irish businesses were established in 2000
following Independent News and Media taking a shareholding in the
iTouch Group in 1999 prior to its listing on the London Stock Exchange
in 2000. iTouch UK maintains a close relationship with Channel 4 UK and iTouch Ireland with Independent News and Media.
Telitas
Following the 100% acquisition of the iTouch Group by
Jasdaq listed For-Side.com in 2005, Telitas was subsequently rolled
into the iTouch Group having being acquired by For-Side.com. Telitas
has operations in Benelux and Scandinavia and maintains a close working
relationship with Broadcaster SBS.
